BUYING GUIDE

In-vitro or plug plants: what should you confirm?

Before selecting a supply stage, agree who handles acclimatisation, what growing facilities the buyer has, and the condition of the proposed batch. Suitability must be discussed for each variety and batch.

01

Ask about the actual stage

Clarify whether the batch is in-vitro, recently deflasked or acclimatised plugs; mature reference images do not establish this.

02

Discuss facilities & responsibilities

Explain your facilities and experience, then agree who is responsible for acclimatisation and subsequent handling.

03

Request batch photographs

Review the actual proposed batch and its specifications, rather than assuming it matches a mature-plant illustration.

04

Compare the full plan

Discuss quantity, packing, transport, receiving dates and your growing plan alongside price.
